Born 1950 – Joined the 9th Finchley Cub Pack at the age of eight. As a senior Scout joined forces with the 16th and 21st Finchley eventually merging with the 6th Finchley to form the Avenue House Venture Scout Unit. Gained Queen's Scout Award in 1968.

Was a founder member of the Avenue House Service team and regular service crew member at Frith Grange Camp site.

Held a leader's warrant for a number of roles including Assistant Scout Leader and District Cub Scout Leader before becoming the first ADC Scout Fellowship for the District. After marrying Mary Rush in 1978, the Akela for the 6th Friern Barnet, became their Group Scout Leader.

Ceased direct involvement with the movement in the mid 80s before moving to Cheshire in 1991, where I still live. Father of 3 and grandfather of 2.
